About The Cranbourne Country Club

In 1951, Syd Kaufman (pictured above) formed a committee that signed up 249 Founders and raised the funds to buy 212 acres of land in Cranbourne, and build a golf course.

From its creation in 1951 until around 2023, the CCC committees mostly met two or three times a year to conduct relevant business as landlord of the Cranbourne Golf Club (CGC).

CCC was incorporated in October 1991.

By the 2020’s, Jewish golfers could join at any Melbourne club. The unpredictable Monash freeway made the trip to CGC unattractive.

CCC entered into a strategic relationship with the Huntingdale Golf Club (HGC), enabling the CGC land to be sold and 250 CGC members to transfer to HGC as full members, as well as an ongoing intake of Jewish golfers to be promoted by the Country Club.
